Roemer Park is Wilmette’s FIELD OF DREAMS serving the dreams of Wilmette & North Shore youth baseball players for over 55 years.  A little piece of Americana, tucked down a dirt driveway, that has provided generations of dreams & memories:  Roemer Homers, snow cones, Roemer-dogs, the hand-operated scoreboard (just like Wrigley) & little red wagon full of metal numbers, the sandbox, the wood dugouts ... a true Wilmette landmark.

Built in 1953, through community volunteer & fundraising efforts, the majority of the park still has the original materials … Roemer Park is in need of a facelift.  The renovation plans have just been approved by the Village of Wilmette and the estimated cost of the renovation is over $600,000.  Our goal is to preserve the nostalgic look and feel of Roemer Park … we are making every effort to retain the character & charm of the Roemer Park we all enjoy.  We are calling on our community to aid us in preserving a Wilmette tradition for generations to come.
