Wilmette Baseball AssociationPinto Nine Year Old Travel Baseball- The Wilmette Baseball Association has entered two 9 year-old travel teams in the newly formed Lake Shore Feeder Baseball League for the 2010 Summer Season (one A and one B).
- Tryouts will be help on April 25th at Thornwood Park from 12:00 noon - 6:00 pm. Pre-registration is required. Information will be sent to all and announcements will be made on specific tryout times.
- The travel season consists of league games played over a 6-7 week period starting in mid-June (approximately 2/3 games per week) concluding with a championship tournament in late July.
- The travel league is competitive. Due to the condensed schedule and player limit, players who choose to tryout must be committed to the program (including attendance at practices). At the 9 year old level, players should not tryout if they have made plans to be unavailable for more than 6 days during the travel season. All commitments should be noted when registering. Players who abuse this are subject to reduced playing time or dismissal from the team.
- There may be some overlap with the WBA House League during the first week. Players are not allowed to play in travel games on nights that their House team has a game. Players violating this rule will be suspended from the travel team.
A Pinto Summer Baseball Program is available for those players who do not make the Travel Team; however, they must register for the program on time. Their money will be refunded for the Pinto Summer Program if they make the Travel Team.
