Wilmette Baseball: Pinto Fall League

The Pinto League Fall 2010 Instructional Program is for incoming 2nd and 3rd graders wanting to get a head-start on the upcoming Pinto League Spring season. The goal of the Pinto Fall Instructional program is to provide professional instruction on the proper techniques of hitting, throwing, fielding, base-running, and pitching in an enjoyable and fun environment; additionally, participants will develop their knowledge of situational baseball by playing in weekly coach-pitch games.

There will be four sessions at Thornwood Park from 2:00 - 4:00 pm as follows:

Saturday, October 16th will be reserved as a make-up session in the event a session is canceled due to weather.

We’ve teamed up with our friends at Illinois Baseball Academy for this program and there will be four instructors for each session. Each of the four sessions will be consist of an instructional segment followed by a game (see below for 2:00 - 4:00 session structure):

2:00 - 2:15 pm Arrive and warm-up

2:15 - 3:00 pm Instruction Session. Players will be divided into small groups of 4-6.

Instructors will focus on skill development using drills.

3:00 - 4:00 pm Games. Players will be divided onto teams. One of the instructors will

pitch, while the other instructors will coach and work with the players on

the sidelines on individual instruction.

The cost is $100 for residents in the Wilmette Public School district ($120 for others). You can register at www.wilmettebaseball.org.

The program is limited to the first 26 players who register. If more than 26 register, we will need a minimum of 48 total players (max of 52) to offer a second program on an adjacent diamond. You should register early to be among the first 26 and be guaranteed a spot.
